Sokoto State’s Commitment to Education: A Step Towards Change
In a significant move towards enhancing education, the Sokoto State Government, through a recent survey, identified approximately 776,000 out-of-school children across all 23 Local Government Areas. The State Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Malam Jabir Sani Maihula, shared that the survey was a proactive effort, and the government is determined to reintegrate these children into the educational system. Additionally, the state government, in collaboration with NAPTIP and other stakeholders, is actively working on modalities to address these challenges. The anticipation of World Bank intervention and the proposal for Modern Almajiri Schools in each senatorial district underline the commitment to a brighter educational future.
