Sokoto’s Pledge to Open Government Garners Support
The Sokoto State government, under the leadership of Governor Aliyu, has reaffirmed its commitment to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) State2State Open Government Partnership (OGP) project. In a recent meeting attended by stakeholders, Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Nasiru Binji, assured the state’s support, including financial assistance and the adoption of technology for the OGP state action plan implementation. The proactive approach, set to include citizen consultation for the 2024 budget, demonstrates Sokoto’s dedication to an open and transparent government.
