Swearing-In of Dr. Abdulkadir Mu’azu Mayere as Secretary to Kaduna State Governor

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State conducted the swearing-in ceremony for Dr. Abdulkadir Mu’azu Mayere as the Secretary to the Kaduna State Governor.

Dr. Mayere is a retired Federal Permanent Secretary with an extensive career in the Federal Public Service. He served in ministries critical to Nigeria’s socio-economic development, including the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. His roles were vital in the fight against poverty, hunger, and the achievement of food security.

Dr. Mayere’s distinguished career spanned 32 years, during which he held various positions, including Director of Sports Medicine at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports. He rose to become a Federal Permanent Secretary in 2017. Before his recent appointment, Dr. Mayere worked as a Senior National Consultant to the Food and Agricultural Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, focusing on the “Hand in Hand Initiative in Nigeria” and collaborating with federal agencies and states to achieve Sustainable Development Goal #1 and #2.
