UNDP to Establish Innovation Pod in Nasarawa State University

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is set to establish a University Innovation Pod (UniPod) at Nasarawa State University, Keffi, in recognition of Governor Abdullahi Sule’s leadership, particularly in the mining sector. The initiative, announced by UNDP’s Resident Representative in Nigeria, Elsie G. Attafuah, aims to connect research with the private sector and support the state’s development agenda. The UniPod will enable students to generate ideas, prototype, and potentially commercialize their innovations. Governor Sule expressed gratitude for the UNDP’s support and highlighted the state’s focus on mining, agriculture, and other key sectors through the Nasarawa Economic Development Strategy (NEDS).
