Yobe Residents Praise Buni’s 300-Unit Solar Light Initiative and Other Projects

The Yobe State Government, under the leadership of Governor Mai Mala Buni, has received widespread commendation from residents for its ongoing infrastructure development projects, particularly the installation of 300 solar street lights in Buni Yadi town, Gujba Local Government Area. The initiative, spearheaded by the State’s Commissioner for Transport and Energy, Hon. Mohammed Mohammed Bara, aims to enhance the safety and quality of life for the local communities.

During an inspection tour, Hon. Bara, alongside key officials including the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Dr. Mustapha Abba Geidam, and the General Manager of the Rural Electrification Board, Engr. Umara Mustapha Goniri, assessed the progress of the solar light installations. The project, which stretches from the Gujba Emir’s Palace to the Buni Yadi bridge, is part of a broader effort to improve infrastructure in the region.

Community representatives expressed their deep gratitude to Governor Buni and his administration for this significant development, highlighting the positive impact it has had on their daily lives.
