Yobe State Governor Approves Over N700 Million for Pensioners
Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has given his approval for the payment of over N700 million to settle the retirement benefits of 461 pensioners across the state. The approval follows the successful screening of the third batch of pensioners in the 17 local government areas of the state. The retirement benefits will be paid directly to the beneficiaries, supporting their livelihoods in retirement.
Governor Buni’s commitment to settling pensioners’ benefits aligns with his earlier decision in November to review the monthly standing payment of gratuities from N100 million to N200 million. This review aims to cover more beneficiaries every month and ensure timely payment of benefits to retired workers in the state, supporting their lives in retirement.
