Yobe State’s Education Revitalization Attracts Praise and Support from Swiss Ambassador
The Swiss Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Nicolas Lang, has commended the Yobe State government’s significant investment in education as the most effective means of rejuvenating the state. During a courtesy visit by Governor Mai Mala Buni to the ambassador in Abuja, Lang emphasized that robust education stands as the cornerstone for any state, society, or nation’s advancement.
Expressing his satisfaction with the Yobe State Government’s efforts in training and retraining teachers to revamp basic education, the ambassador affirmed, “Without quality education, sustainable development and progress remain unattainable.”
Lang assured continued support from the Swiss government, highlighting a focus on bolstering education, agriculture, and healthcare in Yobe State to fortify its developmental endeavors.
Governor Buni, during the meeting, highlighted the successful resettlement of communities displaced by insurgency, outlining the provision of essential amenities such as schools, healthcare facilities, water, and roads to facilitate their smooth reintegration. He emphasized the need for additional support in various sectors to sustain the state’s progress.
