Spending two nights in Ngala, Zulum actively coordinated and supervised humanitarian activities across five centres in Gamboru, Wulgo, and Ngala, major communities hosting thousands of internally displaced persons affected by insurgent activities.

This humanitarian initiative commenced on Sunday with 44,352 women receiving N5,000 each along with essential items. On Monday, 23,102 male heads of households were provided with one bag of rice and one bag of maize each, aiming to alleviate their hardships.

Governor Zulum expressed gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for donating approximately 10,000 bags of rice through the Nigerian Customs Service, further supporting Borno State’s humanitarian efforts.

Accompanying the governor were esteemed political figures, including the senator representing Borno Central, Barrister Kaka Shehu Lawan, and members of the House of Representatives and Assembly. Additionally, top officials and heads of agencies responsible for humanitarian activities were part of the governor’s entourage during this impactful initiative.
