Kwara State Government Releases 2024 BECE Results, Celebrates Education Milestones

The Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development has officially released the 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) results, marking another milestone in the state’s commitment to educational excellence. The announcement was made by the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Hajia Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Ilorin.
The Commissioner praised Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for subsidizing the examination, a move that has received widespread commendation from parents and stakeholders, and highlighted the Governor’s vision for transforming the education sector since 2019. She noted a significant 23.44% increase in student enrollment for the BECE between 2019 and 2024, reflecting the positive impact of the administration’s policies.
The Ministry encouraged all stakeholders, including principals, parents, and guardians, to collect scratch cards from the Ministry starting from September 13, 2024, to access the results, and assured that no charges would be levied on students for this service. This initiative underlines the state’s dedication to providing accessible and affordable education for all.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Rebecca Bake Olanrewaju, also expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the examination and applauded the Ministry’s efforts in maintaining high standards of education in the state.
