Commissioner Lauds Governor Nwifuru’s Transformative Initiatives in Ebonyi State
Chief Uchenna Igwe, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, commended Governor Francis Nwifuru’s exceptional strides in Ebonyi State. Expressing his appreciation during a meeting with the leadership of Obegu Azuiyokwu in Abakaliki Local Government Area, Igwe highlighted Governor Nwifuru’s remarkable developmental efforts.
Praising the Governor’s multifaceted approach, Igwe stated, “Governor Francis Nwifuru has spearheaded extensive infrastructural and human development initiatives.” He specifically highlighted the revitalization of the state’s piped water supply and the recruitment of civil servants, judicial staff, and House of Assembly personnel. Igwe also mentioned the imminent commencement of recruitment at the Local Government level and the consistent payment of gratuity and pensions to retirees, aligning with Nwifuru’s leadership focus on fulfilling the ‘People’s Charter of Need.’
Moreover, Igwe urged the residents of Obegu Azuiyokwu village to prioritize peace and harmonious coexistence with fellow residents. Emphasizing the importance of unity, he advised, “Given your urban setting, ensure harmony and avoid any form of intimidation. Embrace the ethos of brotherhood.”
In a show of support, the ward councilor, Mr. Okechukwu Nwangwuta, pledged his commitment to Governor Nwifuru’s administration. He lauded the Governor for fostering peace across the state.
Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Friday Osueka, the Youth Leader of the Village, expressed confidence in Nwifuru’s leadership trajectory, affirming the Governor’s alignment with effective leadership principles. He envisioned Governor Nwifuru’s continued growth and success in political leadership.
