LASHMA Celebrates Birth of Triplets, Records 143 Multiple Births Under ILERA EKO

The Lagos State Health Management Agency (LASHMA) has celebrated the safe delivery of triplets by Mr. and Mrs. Toye Hamid at Silverline Hospital, Ayobo. The birth is among 143 multiple births recorded since the launch of ILERA EKO, Lagos State’s social health insurance plan, in 2020.
Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, Permanent Secretary of LASHMA, noted that the scheme has facilitated over 29,433 births, including two sets of quadruplets, providing financial relief to families through comprehensive health coverage.
The proud father, Mr. Toye Hamid, expressed gratitude for the program, recounting how all expenses from antenatal care to delivery were fully covered under ILERA EKO. “This experience is a miracle, and we are deeply thankful to the Lagos State Government for this life-changing support,” he said.
LASHMA continues to encourage Lagos residents to enroll in ILERA EKO to reduce out-of-pocket expenses and access quality healthcare services.
