Governor Abiodun Tasks New Police Commissioner on Enhanced Security

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has urged security agencies to prioritize safety and vigilance during the Christmas season.
During a courtesy visit by the new Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lanre Ogunlowo, at his Oke-Mosan office, Governor Abiodun emphasized Ogun State’s unique security challenges due to its geographical position bordering four states and an international boundary. He highlighted the state’s investment in the Security Trust Fund and modern equipment to maintain peace and support socio-economic growth.
The Governor praised the Inspector General of Police for deploying a competent officer and assured continued government support for inter-agency collaboration to combat cultism and other crimes. Commissioner Ogunlowo pledged to tackle security issues with renewed strategies and assured residents of a peaceful festive season.
