Governor Namadi Supports Constituency Empowerment Program, Strengthens Grassroots Development in Jigawa
Governor Mallam Umar Namadi, on Saturday, reinforced his administration’s commitment to grassroots empowerment by attending an impactful constituency project organized by the Jigawa State House of Assembly under the leadership of Speaker Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin.
Held in Miga Local Government Area, the initiative exemplified the state government’s unwavering dedication to improving the livelihoods of its people. A total of ₦45 million was disbursed to 2,018 beneficiaries, providing much-needed financial assistance to individuals and families.
The empowerment funds were allocated as follows:
- 100 beneficiaries received ₦100,000 each.
- 150 beneficiaries received ₦50,000 each.
- 150 beneficiaries received ₦30,000 each.
- 250 beneficiaries received ₦20,000 each.
- 1,368 beneficiaries received ₦10,000 each.
Governor Namadi commended the Jigawa State House of Assembly for championing development-oriented projects that directly impact citizens. He urged beneficiaries to utilize the financial support wisely to enhance their economic status and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
“This initiative reflects the shared vision between the executive and legislative arms of government to uplift the people of Jigawa. I encourage all recipients to make productive use of these funds for sustainable development,” Governor Namadi stated.
The event marked yet another milestone in the administration’s ongoing efforts to foster inclusive economic growth and empower communities across the state.
