Governor Sule: A Visionary Leader Committed to Nasarawa’s Transformation
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has reaffirmed that he entered politics fully prepared to deliver exceptional leadership and drive sustainable development in the state.
Speaking as a guest lecturer at the National Defence College (NDC) Abuja, Governor Sule emphasized that his administration’s focus is built on strategic leadership, integrity, and a results-driven approach to governance.
He explained that upon assuming office in 2019, he took a proactive approach by engaging top consulting firm KPMG to conduct a comprehensive assessment of Nasarawa’s economic, infrastructural, and social challenges.
“I spent a significant part of my career outside the state, but when I decided to serve, I made sure I was fully prepared. That was why I brought in KPMG to carry out an in-depth study of the state’s challenges,” he revealed.
Governor Sule, who spoke on the topic “Strategic Leadership in Governance – My Political Experience,” stated that his journey into politics was fueled by a strong desire to contribute meaningfully to Nasarawa’s growth and national development.
Reflecting on the essence of effective leadership, he identified determination, integrity, accountability, transparency, and adherence to the rule of law as critical elements of success.
“As an engineer, I focus on problem-solving. Leadership should be about identifying challenges, formulating clear solutions, and executing them efficiently,” he added.
The Commandant of the National Defence College, Rear Admiral Olumuyiwa Morakinyo Olotu, commended Governor Sule for his insightful lecture, describing him as a model of visionary governance.
Similarly, Air Commodore Patrick James Edem, Director, Department of National and Military Strategy, urged the participants to embrace the principles of leadership and governance espoused by Governor Sule, emphasizing their relevance to national security and administration.
Governor Sule’s remarks at the NDC reaffirm his dedication to governance guided by knowledge, experience, and strategic vision, which continues to position Nasarawa State as a hub for industrialization and sustainable development.
