Igbos in Kebbi Reaffirm Strong Support for Governor Nasir Idris’ Administration

The Igbo Community in Kebbi State has pledged unwavering support for Governor Nasir Idris’ administration, commending his inclusive governance and developmental strides.

Speaking at the distribution of 300 bags of 25kg rice donated by Governor Idris to the Igbo community in Birnin Kebbi, the Eze Igbo of Gwandu Emirate, Eze (Ozo) Emeka Emeson Okafor, expressed gratitude for the Governor’s generosity and commitment to promoting peaceful coexistence among all ethnic groups in the state.

“Kauran Gwandu has provided food for our people, and we are deeply grateful. His kindness is well known, and we will continue to support his administration,” he stated.

The community hailed Governor Idris’ appointment of Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba as Special Adviser on Other Tribes, describing it as a testament to his administration’s commitment to inclusivity and diversity.

Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba reaffirmed the Igbos’ strong support for Governor Idris’ leadership, noting that Comrade Nasir Idris is the first Nigerian Governor to extend such generosity to the Igbo community.

“He is our father, and we are proud of him. We stand with him 100% beyond 2027,” he declared.

The event also saw the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmad Birnin Kebbi, commend the Igbo community’s enterprising spirit, highlighting Governor Idris’ efforts in transforming Birnin Kebbi into a modern city and fostering economic development.

Similarly, the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Nura Bala Fingilaassured the community that the renovation of the Igbo Meeting Hall would be prioritized.

In a show of gratitude, Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba unveiled a campaign vehicle in support of Governor Idris’ second-term bid, emblazoned with the inscription: “Reward for good work is more work – 4+4 Kauran Gwandu.”

The event concluded with the distribution of rice to beneficiaries, including widows, reinforcing Governor Idris’ commitment to the well-being of all communities in Kebbi State.
