Governor Idris Secures Return for Kebbi’s Medical Graduates from India, Boosts Higher Education Support

In a major step to support higher education, the Kebbi State Government has released ₦14.4 million to cover return tickets for eight medical students who recently completed their studies in India.

The State Commissioner for Higher Education, Isa Abubakar Tunga, made this announcement during a press briefing, revealing that Governor Nasir Idris also approved ₦117.2 million to support 25 students currently studying at various universities in Egypt.

Additionally, the Governor has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to education by approving ₦2.727 billion in funding for both local and international students pursuing higher education worldwide.

“The Ministry of Higher Education remains deeply grateful to Governor Idris. His commitment to academic excellence and the well-being of students is historic,” Tunga remarked.
