Governor Inuwa Yahaya Strengthens Security Collaboration with Nigerian Army

Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, CON, has reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering support for the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in tackling security challenges across the region. Speaking during a courtesy visit by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Armoured Division, Major-General Folusho Oyinlola, at the Government House, Gombe, the Governor stressed the importance of sustained collaboration in ensuring lasting peace and stability.
Governor Inuwa Yahaya commended Major-General Oyinlola’s proactive leadership and swift engagement with stakeholders since assuming office, acknowledging the critical role of the Nigerian Army in maintaining security in Gombe and beyond.
The GOC, who is on a familiarization tour covering five states under his jurisdiction—Plateau, Bauchi, Gombe, Adamawa, and Taraba—applauded the Governor’s commitment to security, describing Gombe as one of the most peaceful states in the North-East. He emphasized the need for continued partnership with local communities and key stakeholders to strengthen security networks.
Governor Yahaya assured the Nigerian Army of his administration’s full support in addressing security concerns, reiterating his dedication to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state.
