Governor Okpebholo’s Proactive Leadership Attracts Federal Support for Edo State
Former Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, has praised Governor Monday Okpebholo for his remarkable achievements within just 100 days in office, particularly in attracting Federal Government support to Edo State.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily, Shaibu acknowledged that Governor Okpebholo’s ability to engage the Federal Government has unlocked new opportunities for the state, ensuring the availability of funds for critical development projects.
“The clever thing the governor (Okpebholo) has done—which I applaud him for, and which we didn’t do—is the ability to go to the centre and secure Federal Government support. This will free up state resources for other essential developments, and I believe this will help Edo grow at a faster pace,” Shaibu stated.
He emphasized the importance of unity and support for the current administration, urging Edo residents to pray for the governor’s success, as the state’s progress depends on effective leadership.
Governor Monday Okpebholo, who won the September 21 governorship election, has already demonstrated a proactive leadership approach, focusing on attracting external investment and fostering economic growth in Edo State.
