Kebbi State Achieves 75% of Electoral Promises, Governor Idris Confirms

Nearly two years into his administration, Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has announced that his government has successfully fulfilled 75% of its electoral promises, marking a period of rapid infrastructural and socio-economic transformation.
Commissioner for Information and Culture, Yakubu Ahmed-BK, outlined the administration’s key accomplishments, which include:
• Road Infrastructure: Completion of major roads in Birnin Kebbi, Yauri, and an ongoing Argungu upgrade, with the 87km Koko-Zuru Road under construction to boost agriculture and trade.
• Education and Health: Renovation of schools and healthcare facilities, ensuring better access to essential services.
• Workers’ Welfare: Full payment of salaries, pensions, gratuities, leave allowances, and death benefits, with zero outstanding liabilities.
• Economic Empowerment: Free fertilizer distribution to farmers to enhance food security and boost local agriculture.
• Food Security: Distribution of 500 trailer loads of food, with 300 more set to be delivered before Ramadan.
A mega rally held on February 19, 2025, at the Haliru Abdu Stadium, Birnin Kebbi, witnessed an overwhelming show of support from:
• Former Kebbi governors, ministers, and senior government officials.
• Over 250 private organizations from all 21 local governments.
• Grassroots supporters backing Governor Idris and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The government’s performance is widely recognized as a testament to effective governance, with Kebbi State poised for further progress under Governor Idris’ leadership.
