Edo Head of Service Advocates Digital Literacy for Economic Growth and Efficient Governance

The Edo State Head of Service (HOS) has emphasized the critical role of digital literacy in driving economic development and enhancing governance efficiency.
Speaking on the transformational impact of digital skills, the HOS highlighted that civil and public service personnel must be well-trained to effectively implement government policies and initiatives that address citizens’ needs.
He stressed, “The Service is the bridge between the government and the governed; virtually everything the government does, it does so through the instrumentality of the civil and public service. To ensure effective delivery, personnel must be properly trained in digital literacy.”
Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration continues to prioritize digital transformation, ensuring that Edo State remains at the forefront of technological innovation, governance efficiency, and citizen engagement.
