Governor Idris Commissions Newly Rebuilt Zagga Central Mosque in Bagudo LGA

Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has officially commissioned the newly reconstructed Zagga Central Mosque in Bagudo Local Government Area, marking the occasion with the inaugural Jumu’a (Friday) prayers led by Imam Usman Sani Zagga.
The mosque, originally initiated by Hon. Bello Dallatun Ka’oje, a member of the House of Representatives, and further developed by former Governor Sa’idu Dakingari, has now been fully modernized under the leadership of Governor Idris.
Speaking at the commissioning, Governor Idris expressed gratitude for the completion of the project and encouraged Muslims to uphold the values of piety, unity, and devotion.
Hon. Bello Ka’oje commended the governor for his commitment to religious infrastructure and community development, emphasizing that the newly built mosque would serve as a beacon of spiritual and social unity for residents.
Delivering the Friday sermon, Imam Usman Sani Zagga praised all three leaders for their dedication to religious and social well-being. He particularly commended Governor Idris for launching the state-wide Ramadan feeding program and other humanitarian initiatives, which reflect the spirit of compassion and selflessness taught by Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The Imam further urged Muslim traders to lower food prices during Ramadan to ease the burden on citizens and called on the faithful to engage in congregational Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers.
With this development, Governor Idris continues to demonstrate his commitment to fostering religious growth, community welfare, and social harmony in Kebbi State.
