In celebration of the 2025 Workers’ Day, the Lagos State AIDS Control Agency (LSACA) extended heartfelt congratulations to the hardworking Lagos State workforce for their vital contributions to the state’s progress. Chief Executive Officer of LSACA, Dr. Folakemi Animashaun, joined in the occasion at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, and emphasized the significance of Workers’ Day as a time to reflect on both the challenges and triumphs of the workforce.

Dr. Animashaun highlighted the importance of fostering a collective commitment to health and well-being, particularly through initiatives promoting education, prevention, and access to healthcare. She encouraged workers to take advantage of free HIV testing and counseling services, reminding everyone that understanding one’s health status is crucial, especially for the active working population.

“Our workers are the backbone of our economy, and their health directly impacts their productivity and the state’s overall development,” said Dr. Animashaun. She lauded Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for his unwavering commitment to worker welfare and the development of sustainable healthcare programs.

She called on employers to prioritize the health and welfare of their staff, ensuring a conducive environment for well-being. LSACA remains dedicated to advancing HIV management, promoting health awareness, and expressing gratitude to the healthcare professionals and partners working alongside the agency.
