Gombe State University Secures Full Accreditation for All Academic Programmes
Gombe State University (GSU) has reached a new academic milestone, earning full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for six key programmes spanning three faculties. This development affirms the institution’s growing reputation for academic excellence, quality assurance, and visionary leadership.
The accredited programmes include Business Administration (Faculty of Arts and Social Science); Education English and Education History (Faculty of Education); Pharmacy (Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences); and Biology and Geology (Faculty of Science). These programmes underwent rigorous assessment in curriculum quality, staffing, infrastructure, and academic content.
Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Sani Ahmed Yauta, expressed gratitude to faculty, staff, students, and stakeholders for their steadfast contributions, emphasizing that the achievement reflects the university’s unwavering commitment to national and international academic standards.
With this accreditation, all 63 undergraduate programmes at Gombe State University now enjoy full accreditation status—solidifying GSU’s position as a centre of academic excellence and a catalyst for educational advancement in the region and beyond.
