Governor Otu Reaffirms Commitment to Grassroots Transformation in Cross River State

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to rural development and inclusive governance, affirming that the needs of local communities remain central to his “People-First” agenda.

Represented by Deputy Governor Rt. Hon. Peter Odey during a thanksgiving Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Egbe-Mbube, in Ogoja LGA, Governor Otu emphasized the state’s intention to extend impactful projects to all local governments. He praised Ogoja Council Chairman Hon. Christopher Agbeh for initiating people-focused programmes that align with the administration’s development blueprint.

The Deputy Governor also called on public officeholders to uphold service-driven leadership, while urging citizens to pray for continued wisdom and strength for the Governor. Hon. Agbeh, in his remarks, expressed gratitude to the Governor and party leadership, pledging to stay committed to fulfilling his campaign promises.

The event was attended by top political leaders, traditional rulers, and representatives from women and youth groups—reflecting broad support for the administration’s vision of equitable development across Cross River State.
