Governor Oyebanji Strengthens Strategic Development with AfDB Collaboration

Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of Ekiti State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to innovation and economic transformation through a strategic meeting with officials of the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the Federal Ministry of Finance. The visit was part of a supervisory mission to the Ekiti Knowledge Zone—an emerging national hub for knowledge-based development.
During the meeting, Governor Oyebanji emphasised the importance of timely project execution, value for money, and the long-term socioeconomic impact of the initiative. He noted that the Knowledge Zone aligns with Ekiti’s vision of fostering a knowledge-driven economy, anchored in innovation, industry, and opportunity for the people.
The governor expressed gratitude to AfDB and the Federal Government for their continuous support and assured that Ekiti State is fully committed to deepening the partnership. “We are positioning Ekiti as a leading state for knowledge-based development,” he stated, signaling the state’s readiness to attract global attention and investment through effective collaboration.
