Governor Aiyedatiwa Accelerates Rural Access with Ongoing Road Projects in Ondo South

Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to rural transformation and economic integration through the steady rehabilitation and construction of 60 kilometres of selected roads across the state. During an inspection tour to Ilaje Local Government Area on Friday, the Governor expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work being delivered.
Speaking in Igbokoda, Governor Aiyedatiwa explained that the projects span the three senatorial districts and are executed in partnership with development agencies, including the World Bank through the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAMP). “These roads are vital for our farmers and rural entrepreneurs to move goods easily and access urban markets,” he stated.
The Governor visited several sites including the 4.5km NDDC Quarters road, the 1.7km Araromi Beach road, and the Oboto–Coastal line corridor—all aimed at improving local livelihoods, especially for fishing communities. Accompanied by infrastructure officials and Special Adviser Engr. Abiola Olawoye, the Governor reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to delivering high-impact infrastructure that boosts local economies and raises living standards across Ondo State.
