Borno Government Launches Coordinated Action Against Social Vices

In a proactive response to rising concerns over anti-social behaviour, the Borno State Government has launched a comprehensive campaign to curb criminality and restore public discipline. Governor Babagana Umara Zulum recently inaugurated a High-Powered Committee on Anti-Social Vices to address issues ranging from drug abuse to public misconduct.
Co-chaired by Hon. Sugun Mai Mele, the Committee is tasked with diagnosing the root causes of the vices and implementing swift, impactful solutions. The initiative underscores the state government’s firm belief that moral integrity, law, and order are foundational to a thriving and peaceful society. The campaign calls on community leaders, religious institutions, and residents to participate actively in sustaining a secure environment.
Governor Zulum has made it clear that public problems require public cooperation and resolute leadership. Through this initiative, Borno is taking decisive steps to uphold social values and promote responsible citizenship, with the long-term goal of building a safer, healthier future for all.
