Borno Governor Zulum: Forum Will Back Security Agencies, Promote Agricultural Recovery
Chairman of the North-East Governors Forum and Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, expressed deep concern over the renewed security challenges in parts of the region. Speaking at the NEGF meeting in Damaturu, Zulum assured continued support for security agencies and emphasized the Forum’s commitment to peace and recovery.
He urged citizens to embrace agriculture as a pathway to resilience and economic revival. Zulum also encouraged farmers to heed NIMET’s flood warnings and adopt climate-smart practices to avoid disruptions in food production.
The Forum unanimously pledged to strengthen regional cooperation, improve early warning systems, and accelerate investment in food security, health, and education across the North-East.
