In a landmark ruling, the Court of Appeal, Abuja, reaffirmed the electoral victory of Governor Inuwa Yahaya in Gombe State.

Governor Yahaya’s triumph was validated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which declared him the winner of the governorship election after securing 342,821 votes, surpassing his closest rival, Jibrin Barde of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who polled 233,131 votes.

Despite the PDP’s contentions about the election outcome, alleging irregularities like multiple thumb printing and ballot box stuffing in various polling units across nine out of the 11 local government areas, the election petition tribunal dismissed their petition.

The Court of Appeal’s decision reinforces Governor Yahaya’s mandate, solidifying his position as the elected leader of Gombe State, ensuring continuity and stability in the state’s governance.
