Cross River Unveils Activities for 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Week

The Cross River State Government has announced a detailed itinerary to commemorate the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Week, honoring Nigeria’s fallen heroes.
The week-long activities commenced on Friday, January 10, 2025, with Islamic prayers at the 13 Brigade Central Mosque in Calabar. This was followed by a Christian inter-denominational service on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Navy Barracks, Akim, Calabar.
The highlight of the events will be the laying of wreaths by Governor Bassey Otu and other dignitaries on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at the Millennium Arcade, 11-11 Roundabout, Calabar. The event will bring together state officials, traditional rulers, local government chairmen, and the public to honor the sacrifices of Nigeria’s Armed Forces.
Commissioner for Social Welfare and Community Development, Mrs. Margaret Ene Ita, and Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, jointly issued the announcement, inviting all stakeholders to participate in the activities.
