Delta Under Governor Oborevwori: One of Nigeria’s Safest States, Says DG Security
The Director General of Security in Delta State, Hon. David Tonwe, has reaffirmed that under the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Delta remains one of the safest states in Nigeria. He credited this to the Governor’s strategic security initiatives and relentless commitment to public safety.
Tonwe debunked claims of rising insecurity, noting that many such narratives were fabricated by elements aiming to destabilize the state. “Delta is safe,” he declared confidently, citing ongoing collaborations between the Nigeria Police, Army, and other agencies to maintain peace and order across communities.
He further commended Governor Oborevwori for his proactive stance on security, which has translated into stability and sustained development. Tonwe urged residents to remain vigilant, support security operatives, and report any suspicious activity. “Together, we will continue to keep Delta safe,” he concluded.
