Ekiti Appointed as Pilot State for Agriculture in Southwest by Federal Government

In a significant milestone for Ekiti’s agricultural sector, the Federal Government has designated the state as the pilot hub for agriculture in the Southwest. This announcement was made by Governor Biodun Oyebanji during the January edition of the Evening of Praise and Worship program, held at Lady Jibowu Hall, Government House, Ado-Ekiti.
Governor Oyebanji attributed this recognition to Ekiti’s track record of excellence, good governance, and accountability, emphasizing that divine guidance has played a pivotal role in the state’s continued growth. He reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to positioning Ekiti as a model for sustainable agriculture, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and economic empowerment.
Highlighting the strides made under his leadership, the Governor noted that the state’s agricultural transformation agenda has significantly boosted food production, created employment opportunities, and enhanced economic development. He acknowledged the unwavering support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, whose policies have enabled Ekiti to make remarkable progress in governance and development.
Governor Oyebanji further expressed gratitude to all stakeholders for their contributions, reiterating that the divine blessings upon Ekiti have been instrumental in achieving major milestones in the past two years.
