Ekiti Begins 2025 on a High Note, Governor Oyebanji Reaffirms Commitment to Progress

Ekiti State is ushering in 2025 with remarkable achievements and promising developments, Governor Biodun Oyebanji has affirmed. The governor attributed the state’s transformation to divine grace, noting that Ekiti has become a model of good governance, accountability, and integrity in Nigeria.
Speaking at the January edition of the monthly Evening of Praise and Worship in Ado Ekiti, Oyebanji expressed gratitude for the numerous milestones recorded in the early days of the year.
“We started this year on a good note. A lot of good things are happening—the promotion of our Secretary to the State Government, Habitat Adubiaro, to the rank of Professor of Chemistry; the appointment of our distinguished Senator and Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, as a Life Bencher by the Nigerian Body of Benchers; and, by the grace of God, our leader, Governor Kayode Fayemi, will be celebrating his 60th birthday next week. We have every reason to thank God,” Oyebanji stated.
The governor also shared exciting news from the agricultural sector, revealing that the Federal Government had selected Ekiti as the pilot state for agricultural initiatives in the Southwest.
“This recognition further affirms our state’s growing influence and strategic importance. God has been so good to us, and we are starting this year on a joyful and progressive note. And it can only get better,” he added.
Governor Oyebanji urged residents to continue praying for the state’s prosperity and remain committed to the administration’s vision for sustainable development. He emphasized that Ekiti’s growing reputation as a beacon of good governance and transparency is a collective achievement that requires unwavering support from all.
With ongoing strides in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment, Ekiti State is positioned for even greater accomplishments in 2025.
