Emir of Ilorin Celebrates Governor AbdulRazaq’s Dedication to Kwara’s Culture and Progress on 29th Anniversary

As the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Dr. Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, marked his 29th anniversary on the throne of Sheikh Alimi, he took the opportunity to commend and offer prayers for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, recognizing the governor’s steadfast dedication to promoting Kwara’s culture and values.
During the visit, the Emir highlighted Governor AbdulRazaq’s commitment to preserving and honoring Kwara’s traditions, stating, “I am convinced that Governor AbdulRazaq not only believes in but actively promotes our customs and heritage.” He emphasized the governor’s role in fostering peace and stability across Kwara State, a feat that has contributed to the state’s relative tranquility amidst national security challenges.
In an address to the Ilorin Emirate Youth Development Association (IEYDA) event following the visit, the Emir expressed gratitude for the governor’s progressive leadership, attributing Kwara’s peaceful environment to the governor’s encouragement of unity and harmony among its people. “Let us be thankful to God for blessing us with this governor. His work has not only brought peace but also progress to Kwara,” the Emir added.
Governor AbdulRazaq’s visit to honor the Emir’s anniversary, accompanied by his personal aides, underscored his respect and dedication to the traditions of Kwara, strengthening the bond between the government and the traditional institutions.
