Farmer Governor Bago Inaugurates IBBU Governing Council, Tasks Members to Maintain Leadership

Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago has inaugurated the 6th Governing Council of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University (IBBU) Lapai, urging the council to uphold its leadership status as the pioneer state university in Niger State.
Speaking at the Government House in Minna, the Governor emphasized the need for IBBU to remain competitive, given the emergence of new state and private universities. “You should take the lead as the pioneer university and ensure you stay ahead,” he stated.
Council Chairman Prof. Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah pledged to elevate the institution’s ranking and maintain its legacy of academic excellence. The inauguration marks a significant milestone in strengthening IBBU’s governance and strategic direction.
