Gov. Oborevwori Hosts AFCSC Course 47 Participants, Reaffirms Commitment to Grassroots Security Intelligence

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has welcomed participants of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC) Senior Course 47, 2025, on a courtesy visit to the Government House, Asaba. The delegation was led by Brigadier General Al-Hassan Grima.
Governor Oborevwori lauded the group’s study theme, “Harnessing Grassroots Intelligence for Enhanced Internal Security,” describing it as timely and essential to addressing the nation’s evolving security challenges. He emphasized that with proper research and community engagement, the theme could inspire actionable strategies for strengthening national security and economic growth.
The governor further highlighted that security and social stability remain central to his MORE Agenda, underlining the robust collaboration between the state and federal governments in supporting security agencies. He urged the visiting officers to involve traditional rulers and community stakeholders in their intelligence-gathering efforts and assured them that recommendations from their research would receive due attention from the state government.
