Gov. Oyebanji Commemorates May Day in Ado-Ekiti, Highlights Workers’ Welfare Achievements

Governor Oyebanji joined the dedicated workforce of Ekiti State in Ado-Ekiti to commemorate this year’s May Day, taking the opportunity to express his deep gratitude for their resilience, hard work, and commitment to the state’s growth and development.

In his address, Governor Oyebanji reaffirmed that his administration has placed workers’ welfare at the forefront of its agenda. “We have prioritized fair wages, better working conditions, and enhanced opportunities for career progression,” he stated. He also highlighted key achievements, including the recruitment of over 2,400 teaching and education staff, the provision of loans and transport palliatives, and the approval of career progression to Grade Level 16 for primary school teachers, all aimed at restoring the dignity of labor.

“Together, we will continue to work towards policies that put the people first,” the Governor emphasized, urging labor leaders and workers to remain engaged and contribute ideas to help strengthen the state’s economy and governance. “Our shared goal is to build a more prosperous Ekiti for all,” he concluded. ________________________________________
