On the occasion of the 2025 International Workers’ Day, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State paid tribute to the workers who drive the state’s economic and social development. In a statement released to mark the day, the Governor applauded civil servants, artisans, teachers, healthcare workers, entrepreneurs, and professionals whose resilience and hard work fuel progress.

He noted that consistent salary payments, entrepreneurship support, job creation, and investments in digital infrastructure reflect the state’s people-first governance approach.

“Through initiatives like the Innovation Hub, Visual Arts Centre, and ICT centres, we are preparing our youth and workforce for a future shaped by digital transformation,” the Governor said. “It is our duty to adapt and prepare our people for the jobs of tomorrow.”

He also appreciated the partnership and cooperation of Labour unions and reaffirmed that government policies will continue to prioritize workers’ well-being, professional growth, and economic inclusion.

“I wish every hardworking citizen a rewarding and fulfilling Workers’ Day,” he concluded.
