Governor Abiodun Honors Naval Fleet Commander Oguntuga For Outstanding Service

Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has praised Rear Admiral Kolawole Oguntuga, Fleet Commander of the Eastern Fleet of the Nigerian Navy, for his dedication and outstanding service to national security.
Speaking through his Deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, at a civic reception organized by the Ijebu Ife community, Governor Abiodun described Oguntuga as a gallant and diligent officer, whose contributions have brought honor to Ogun State and Nigeria.
The event, held at the Palace of the Ajalorun of Ijebu Ife, Oba Adesesan Oguntayo, celebrated Rear Admiral Oguntuga’s birthday and his recent promotion to a two-star general rank.

• Oba Olaoye Ghandi, Soun of Ogbomoso
• Dr. Olorunimbe Mamora, former Minister of Health
• Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, Ogun State Secretary to the Government
• Chief Bisi Akande, former Governor of Osun State
Governor Abiodun reaffirmed Ogun State’s commitment to supporting the armed forces, acknowledging their crucial role in national security and territorial defense.
“Rear Admiral Oguntuga is a shining example of dedication, discipline, and excellence. His promotion is well-deserved, and we are proud to celebrate his achievements,” the Governor stated.
The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, represented by Rear Admiral Olusegun Ferreira, commended Oguntuga’s exceptional leadership and urged him to continue contributing to Nigeria’s maritime security and defense operations.
In his remarks, Rear Admiral Oguntuga expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, the Nigerian Navy, and his community for their unwavering support throughout his career.
“The Nigerian Navy remains committed to safeguarding our waters and ensuring a secure environment for national economic growth,” he assured.
