Governor Aiyedatiwa Endorses Guinness World Record Bid by Ondo’s Star Barber, Joshua Aiyenuro

Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has pledged full support for Joshua Aiyenuro, CEO of T-Jos Signature and official barber of the Super Eagles, in his upcoming attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the Longest Haircut Marathon.
At a meeting in his Abuja Lodge, the Governor described the project as “a symbol of Ondo State’s talent, resilience, and youth innovation.” He praised Aiyenuro’s dual commitment to excellence and social impact, noting the barbing marathon is more than a personal achievement—it is a national movement to empower thousands of Nigerian youths.
The initiative, backed by AFRICSOF, seeks to establish over 10,000 barbing points across the country, creating jobs and redirecting young people from social vices to productive ventures.
The record-breaking event will take place from June 10 to 17 at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja. Governor Aiyedatiwa described Aiyenuro’s ambition as “inspiring” and a model of what the youth of Ondo and Nigeria can achieve when given the right support.
