Governor Alia Delivers on Key Commitments, Implements Minimum Wage and Infrastructure Initiatives

Governor Hyacinth Alia has demonstrated his dedication to improving the lives of Benue State residents by working diligently to implement a ₦30,000 minimum wage, previously signed but not enacted by the past administration. This progress comes alongside a host of infrastructure projects, from new roads and street lighting in Makurdi to the renovation of essential public facilities, including the State Secretariat and Assembly Complex.

In his first two years, Governor Alia has focused on building a foundation for a prosperous Benue. His administration’s achievements include improved local government financial autonomy, expanded educational initiatives, and enhanced local security efforts. “This is only the beginning,” said Governor Alia. “We are transforming Benue into a state of modern infrastructure, sustainable growth, and opportunity.”
