Governor Aliyu and Chief of Staff Honored for Excellence in Governance and Financial Management

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu, has been recognized with the National Leadership Award for Best Management of Finances and Education in Nigeria, a testament to his administration’s commitment to fiscal discipline and educational advancement.
Alongside him, Aminu Halliru Dikko, Chief of Staff to the Sokoto State Government, was honored with the Best Chief of Staff Award in Nigeria for his loyalty, efficiency, and outstanding service.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Governor Aliyu expressed gratitude, stating that the recognition serves as motivation to further improve service delivery to the people of Sokoto State. He highlighted key achievements under his administration, including:
• Enhanced security measures to safeguard communities.
• Prudent financial management ensuring transparency and efficiency in public funds.
• Free education for all Nigerians in Sokoto’s public schools, making education accessible to all.
The National Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have made exceptional contributions to democracy and good governance.
Chief Perry Opara, National Chairman of the Award Committee, praised Governor Aliyu as a silent achiever, commending his non-controversial approach and proven track record in governance.
Aminu Halliru Dikko, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, expressed gratitude for the recognition, attributing his success to Governor Aliyu’s trust and leadership support. He noted that if other Chiefs of Staff received similar encouragement, they would also excel in their roles.
