Governor Idris Approves N266 Million for Tuition of 100 Kebbi Students Studying Abroad

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has approved over ₦266 million to fully cover tuition fees for 100 students from the state currently studying in India—demonstrating his administration’s unwavering commitment to educational excellence and global exposure for youth development.
Announcing the initiative during a media briefing in Birnin Kebbi, the Commissioner for Higher Education, Isah Tunga—represented by Permanent Secretary Hussaini Tata—described the funding as a strategic investment in Kebbi’s future. He lauded Governor Idris for prioritizing access to quality education and creating opportunities for brilliant students to compete globally.
Tunga emphasized that the policy direction under Governor Idris has brought about a transformation in the state’s education sector.
