Governor Idris Commissions Mosque and Visits Skill Acquisition Center in Illo

Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has inaugurated a newly renovated mosque and visited a skill acquisition center in Illo, constructed by Hon. Bello Dallatu Kaoje, the House of Representatives member for Bagudo/Suru federal constituency.
The governor was accompanied by former Governor Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, SSG Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, Head of Service Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena, several commissioners, special advisers, and other politicians. They joined the community for Friday prayers at the mosque in Illo, Bagudo Local Government Area, where special prayers for peace, unity, and security were led by the Chief Imam.
Following the mosque commissioning, Governor Idris visited the skill acquisition center established by Hon. Bello Kaoje. The center, located centrally in Illo town, offers various training programs including computer skills, tailoring, soap making, vulcanizing, cream production, catering, wheel alignment and balancing, hairdressing, and barbering. The center serves as a vital resource for youth, including female trainees.
Addressing the trainees in the computer section, Governor Idris emphasized his administration’s commitment to supporting skill acquisition programs for youth development. He praised Hon. Bello Kaoje for his impactful initiative, stating, “We thank the lawmaker for his consistent commitment to changing lives. Your efforts are highly commendable and we believe you will continue this noble work.”
One of the computer section tutors, Murtala Usman, expressed gratitude for the governor’s visit and appealed for further support to enhance the center’s impact. He assured the governor of their dedication to equipping trainees with essential computer skills, aiming for them to graduate within six months.
