Governor Namadi Empowers Roni Community Through Landmark Infrastructure and Skills Development Projects

Governor Mallam Umar Namadi continues to strengthen grassroots development in Jigawa State with the commissioning of multiple transformative projects in Roni Town. During his visit this afternoon, the Governor unveiled a modern Skills Acquisition Centre, a spacious Capacity Hall, and a newly constructed roundabout—all aimed at improving socio-economic opportunities and infrastructure within the community.
The projects, initiated by the Roni Local Government Council and supported by the state government, are part of Governor Namadi’s broader vision to empower local governments to drive sustainable development and uplift the living standards of residents.
“These facilities will not only improve access to skills training and enhance community engagement, but they also reflect our administration’s commitment to balanced development across all parts of Jigawa State,” the Governor stated during the commissioning.
The Skills Acquisition Centre is expected to provide vocational training to youths and women, enabling self-reliance and job creation, while the Capacity Hall will serve as a hub for civic engagement and public programs. The new roundabout, meanwhile, enhances urban aesthetics and traffic flow, reflecting the administration’s attention to infrastructure and urban renewal.
