Governor Namadi Partners with ICAN to Elevate Youth Talent and Drive Financial Excellence in Jigawa
In a landmark move to boost human capital development and promote financial literacy, the Jigawa State Government under the visionary leadership of Governor Malam Umar A. Namadi, FCA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). The agreement paves the way for the establishment of the ICAN Students’ Special Project (SSP) Centre in Dutse, marking a pivotal moment for youth empowerment and professional development in the state.
At the MoU signing ceremony, Deputy Governor Engr. Aminu Usman, representing Governor Namadi, lauded the initiative as a transformative leap for Jigawa’s education and economic growth. “This project is a testament to our commitment to grooming globally competitive professionals and nurturing local talents to serve the state and the nation,” he stated.
The ICAN Students’ Special Project will offer scholarships, professional training, and certification opportunities to young individuals across Jigawa. The initiative is tailored to address challenges in educationally disadvantaged regions, equipping beneficiaries with the tools to become Chartered Accountants and future economic leaders.
