Governor Nasir Idris Donates N5m to GSS Zuru Old Boys Association
Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State demonstrated support for the Government Secondary School (GSS), Zuru Old Boys Association by donating N5 million. This generous contribution was announced during the commissioning ceremony of a reconstructed burnt administrative block, classrooms, and an access road in the school at Zuru.
Represented by the Head of Service (HoS), Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba-Bena, Governor Nasir emphasized the importance of appreciating the old boys’ efforts in renovating and developing the school infrastructure, underscoring their loyalty to their alma mater. He praised the school’s history of producing outstanding individuals who have significantly contributed to national growth.
Governor Nasir reiterated his commitment to enhancing educational facilities, ensuring a conducive learning environment, and advancing the education sector in the state. He reaffirmed his promise to upgrade secondary schools to Mega Schools across the three Senatorial Districts.
He also lauded the old boys for their proactive efforts and urged the college management to express gratitude for their multifaceted support, including infrastructure renovation, equipment provision, and sponsorship of various projects.
