Governor Nwifuru Congratulates Austin Umahi and Chief Mathew Uguru on Federal Appointments

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Austin Umahi and Chief Mathew Uguru on their recent federal board appointments by President Bola Tinubu.

Austin Umahi, younger brother to the Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, was appointed as Chairman of the Governing Board of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, Kano. Similarly, Chief Mathew Uguru, the National Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has been appointed Chairman of the Federal Medical Centre, Umuahia, Abia State.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Monday Uzor, Governor Nwifuru described their appointments as a recognition of their dedication, leadership, and commitment to public service.

“I have absolute confidence in these two illustrious sons of Ebonyi State to excel in their new roles and deliver on their mandates,” Governor Nwifuru stated.

The governor further emphasized that their appointments align with the federal government’s efforts to strengthen the health sector and reduce medical tourism, given their vast experience in public service.

He expressed optimism that their leadership would contribute to improving healthcare delivery, ensuring better medical services for Nigerians, and fostering institutional growth.

Governor Nwifuru also commended President Bola Tinubu for finding these distinguished Ebonyians worthy of national service, reiterating that their appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to merit-based leadership selection.
