In a powerful show of solidarity and reverence, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori joined dignitaries from across the nation at the funeral Mass of the late former Deputy Governor of Delta State, Prof. Amos Agbe Utuama (SAN), held at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cathedral in Warri.
Speaking at the solemn occasion, Governor Oborevwori reflected on the legacy of the late Prof. Utuama, describing him as an elder statesman, legal luminary, and an exemplary public servant whose life was marked by outstanding contributions to the legal profession and the development of Delta State.
“We gather not to mourn, but to celebrate the life of an illustrious Deltan who lived to the glory of God,” the Governor noted. He commiserated with the Utuama family and the Urhobo nation, urging them to draw strength from cherished memories and to uphold the enduring virtues the late statesman represented—humility, loyalty, diligence, dedication, and a deep devotion to Christian values.
Governor Oborevwori’s presence underscored his unwavering respect for leadership legacies and his commitment to unity within the state. As he joined others in honoring the late Prof. Utuama, the Governor reminded all Deltans of the importance of service, integrity, and faith.
