Governor Otu Leads APC Campaign Council for Edo Elections
Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State has been inaugurated as the chairman of the APC National Campaign Council for the upcoming Edo State governorship election on September 21, 2024. The council, comprising 362 members, was inaugurated by APC National Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje in Benin City.
Governor Otu, who previously led a successful campaign in Imo State, expressed confidence in achieving a similar victory in Edo. He encouraged Edo residents to support President Bola Tinubu’s renewed hope agenda, highlighting the positive impacts already underway.
The event also celebrated the defection of Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Philip Shuaibu, and his group to the APC. Party leaders, including Alhaji Ganduje and Senator Adams Oshiomole, voiced optimism about the party’s prospects in the upcoming election.
President Bola Tinubu is expected to participate in campaign activities in Benin City ahead of the polls.
